AMCA Championship Round 2

26th June- Shrewsbury

Following a runners-up spot in the opening round at Cleobury,Lee Dunham maintained his challenge at the top of the AMCA MX2 championship with another superb podium placing at Condover during round 2.Lee was involved in a thrilling opening moto at Condover in which he disputed the race leadership with Phil Mercer and Lee Payne for the entire duration.So quick were the leading duo that they left the 4th placed finisher James Shaw some 40 seconds in arrears. In the second clash,Payne,Mercer and Lee again took complete control so it was down to a last moto shootout to decide the eventual podium placings.With Payne being brought down in a first turn collision,Lee was to only be denied a richly deserved 2nd overall when his Lancashire rival recovered to earn 7th at the flag by passing Simon Lane on the final lap!!.
