The 2008 season kicked off at Little Silver Motoparc near Exeter, with Mark Hucklebridge and Sam Davis representing MotoXtreme.
With both riders qualifying for their respective classes, Huck was up first in the Open Class Championship. After getting out of the gate well, he was tagged by Jordan Rose into the first corner and went down leaving him in 37th place but a storming first lap saw him overtake 24 riders, making steady progress with lap times matching the leading duo of Smith and Rowson he made his way into 6th place by the end of the race.
Determined to get a better result Huck went to the line in focused mood, again he gated well and made it round the first corner clean in the top 10. Riding well he got himself into 3rd and trying to catch the 2 leaders, with the race drawing to a close he got close to Ray Rowson in 2nd place but could find no way past on the now one lined circuit, and settled for a good 3rd place.
Making his debut in adult racing Sam Davis did well to qualify amonst a strong field in the Under 21 National Championship. With some good riding through the day Sam rode at his own pace using the event to take away valuble experience, taking a 33rd and 37th.
