Maxxis ACU British MotoX Championship
23rd March- Canada Heights
Terrible weather conditions welcomed the MoxoXtreme Kawasaki Team to Canada Heights in Kent for the second round of the 2008 British Motocross Championship.
| With MX1 qualifying starting during a heavy snow storm Mark Hucklebridge and George Davis both went out to post a fast lap time and make it into the top 35 to qualify, Huck made it into 9th but lost any chance of improving when a pebble got into the chain drive and jammed it on the far side of the track and he had to return to the pits to get his second bike, but George was struggling in the tricky conditions and missed out on qualification by nine places. |
| The opening race saw Huck get a poor start and go into the first corner at the back of the pack, a good first lap saw him move into 25th and he made good progress until a crash set him back, but he got back on and made his way back into the points and he ended up in 16th after passing two riders on the last lap. |
Another poor start in Race 2 saw Huck come round in the mid pack on the first lap, early progress saw him move upto 14th, with the track now becoming very one lined a mistake saw Huck move back to 17th and that would be where he ended up.
His placings of 16th and 17th saw him get 9 points and 17th overall on the day but he slipped back to 11th in the Championship standings.
With George not qualifying for the Championship Races he rode in the support Races and took 11th overall.
